Welcome to V-Tex Whitetails

V-Tex Whitetail Ranch is owned by James and Yvonne Veitenheimer. We are located in North Central Texas, about 90 miles northwest of Fort Worth. The ranch is 10 miles south of Windthorst on McMurtry Road, which is in the southeast corner of Archer County. In 1996 we received our scientific whitetail breeder permit (TX1527) and began raising whitetail deer. We have over 200 whitetail deer in our breeder pens, which consist of pure South Texas, Texas and northern crosses, and some pure northern genetics.



For the first time V-Tex Whitetails will be offering trophy whitetail hunts beginning with the 2006 season. We are very excited and look forward to the coming year. Our pasture herd consists of the same genetics that can be found in our breed stock and include both south texas and northern whitetail genetics such as Sal, Primo, Paco, Clint, Floco, the Schulte Buck, Bodacious, Bullwinkle, "the Wiz", Soaring Eagle, Silver Storm, Rold Gold, and Bambi 727. Just to name a few.

Also new for the 2006 season is our recently finished lodge. With all the comforts of home and an outdoor Texas decor, you're sure to feel right at home whether you are hunting for your next trophy whitetail or visiting for a relaxing weekend at the ranch. From our fully furnished kitchen, satellite tv, queen size beds, to our upstair game room and pool table, there is always a place to relax after an exciting day of trophy whitetail hunting and outdoor recreation.
